Sunday July 17, the Rye Wheelers (Rye cycling club) held a BBQ at the Creative Centre, Kings Road where ARRCC, a project which offers activities for people with disabilities, is situated. Paul Simpson who is part of the Wheelers' committee arranged it to raise funds for ARRCC.
I had told him that I was vegetarian and he dished up an amazing non meat option. All prepared on the BBQ grill I had corn on the cob, red peppers and and a large tomato, (haven't seen one like that before except in Italy). It tasted lovely and I am sure the meat eaters enjoyed their food too.
Luckily the weather held and everyone seemed to have great time. Of course I cycled there as did many others after a lengthy ride.
