A very wet and windy drove many more children and parents into the East Street Museum than expected - but they coped.

Rye Museum had its latest children’s activity afternoon at the East Street site on Wednesday August 26 writes Ray Prewer. It was a wet and windy day but 22 children and 24 adults, including parents and grandparents attended, an excellent turnout. The activities available included:

We were surprised by the high turnout and there were just two volunteers - Heather Stevenson and Sue Manktelow. But they were resourceful and got the parents and grandparents involved. At the end of two hours there were a lot of very happy children and relaxed parents, including a family from Germany.
