Elsewhere in this edition David Bookless, Chair of Rye Conservation Society (RCS), pays tribute to a stalwart of the RCS shortly after he himself returns home after a long and serious period of ill health.
David has played an active part in the town for many years and is currently a Rye town councillor. However the council, like many organisations, is in a state of hibernation until the government decides otherwise and he may need time to recover fully as well.
