AUGUST 17, 10 AM to 1PM, behind the Cinque Port Arms Pub
After a well-earned holiday break, we welcome the Wednesday Farmers' Market back wiith Darren of Sussex Smokers and his two children who manage the family baking business, Nana's Bakes. Darren offers a superb varieties of meats, game, sausages, chickens, smoked fish, cheeses, pate and vegetables.
Sam is the expert cake baker and his sister enthusiastically sells her mum’s pies. Tried and tested family recipes are being passed on through three generations in this thriving family baking business which first began during the Covid lockdowns.

This coming week the Wednesday Market welcomes a new plantsman. Alan, who lives near Battle, grows 80% of his plants at home. He has been developing his love for plants for many years and it’s great news to have a plantsman back in this market. We look forward to seeing Alan every other week from now on.

The French Deli man is well known to local people in Rye for his weekly offerings of superb seasonal French cheeses, a delicious assortment of olives, saucisson and other exotic French delicacies.

Mo, who brings her home-made jams and marmalades packed with flavour to the Wednesday Market once a fortnight, also sells family-sized pots of Raw Wildflower Sussex Honey, sourced from her fellow stall holder at Sussex Smokers.

The friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced locally produced food offer holiday makers in Rye and regulars a pleasant opportunity to relax (at picnic tables provided by the Cinque Port Pub) with a cool glass of something refreshing while you do your mid-week shopping this summer.
