Rye's boxing club will be hosting the town's first fully competitive boxing show on Saturday May 24 from 7pm at Rye Sport Centre.
Rye Town Warriors will take to the ring in an evening of fully competitive boxing against quality opponents from top clubs from around South England. Head coach Carl Turner said: "Each and everyone of our competitive boxers has trained for a minimum of one year in preparation for this fantastic home show and are guaranteed to showcase massive amounts of skill, physical fitness, toughness, determination and above all . . . courage."
The Warriors are still looking for a kind hearted person, businesses or organisation to help to sponsor the May 24 bouts. The club has many ways in which it can advertise your company or group in return for financial support. This is a family event and there will be a bar, music, food and - boxing.
