Residents of Rye's Valley Park estate and some other Facebook friends got together to arrange a collection of donations to the Sara Lee Trust and these items will hopefully be sold in their shops in Hastings, St Leonard’s and Bexhill.
A great effort by all of those involved resulted in a good haul being loaded onto the van in record time on the hottest day of the year! The trust have said that it is happy to collect again so look out for our next initiative.
The trust provides psychological and therapeutic support for people affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses, and will have a base in Rye's new Hub on the Hill next to the Memorial Hospital which provides community wellbeing services and support.
