Rye Under 11s enjoyed a week long Sussex Festival of Cricket, playing 4 games in 4 days, and playing games of 62 overs in length. Their first taste of the longer format. 16 players participated many of whom will be available next season for this age group.
The competition involved 22 clubs across Sussex. Very few of which are based in the East. Rye lost to Linden Park by 5 wickets, won a close run game against Fletching by 30 runs, rain washed out the away fixture to Seaford but the journey to St Peters saw Rye score 226-9 and bowl their opponents out for 80. With points awarded for wickets and runs, Rye finished the week 12th of the 22 clubs.
