Time Flies

Clocks go back but festivals continue

Just a reminder that the clocks go back one hour at 2am this Sunday October 27.

For those who like a lie-in on Sundays the good news is that you get an extra hour. The bad news is that we now have early dark evenings for the next few months.

However, the dark evenings mark that time of the year when we can look forward first to the Bonfire Boys parade with fiery torches, massive bonfire, fantastic fireworks on November 9 and on Saturday, December 7 the final festival of the year, the Rye Christmas Festival, with the theme of Christmas Past and, this year, some of the events extending into Sunday.
