A yet-to-be-named, public spirited person reported the damaged lamp-post (pictured above) outside Boots the Chemists in the High Street. Colas, the highways maintenance contractor for East Sussex County Council, promptly reinstated it within 72 hours of the lamp being dislodged from the top of its pole. [Editorial comment: Both should be praised, as moans tend to get reported more often.]
