Nigel Kennedy’s concert last night (Thursday May 25) was a sell-out, as St Mary’s Church in Rye, at the top of Lion Street, prepared to host three consecutive nights of jazz in a warm-up to the summer festival from August 24 to 28 .
Tickets for Friday’s and Saturday’s concerts appeared also to have nearly gone, but check the website ryejazz.com or at the door on the night. Some standing might be available.
