During the recent cricket week, Rye played Newenden and the game was played to remember George Jempson who tragically died at the age of 19 a year ago.
At the request of Stephen and Helen Jempson, the club sought to raise funds for the Rye Foodbank. The match raised £600 in donations for the Rye Foodbank plus each player provided a bag of dried goods for the Foodbank.
This week the club received a lovely card thanking those involved for the donations.
