The Original Prints of Sir Frank Short is the title of a talk to be given by Edward Twohig at Rye Art Gallery this Sunday, June 3, at 2pm.
Sir Frank Short was one of the most innovative and prolific print-makers of his day and as a teacher influenced generations of print-makers.
The Gallery has a fine collection of 55 of his prints bequeathed by his daughter, some of which are currently a part of the exhibition of work by Piranesi and Short on show in the venue.
Edward Twohig is also a print-maker and an elected member of the same prestigious Royal Society of which Short was President. He will be able to pass on the ground-breaking work and approach of Short with real understanding and enthusiasm.
Pay on entry - £7. (Source: Rye Art Gallery)
