A table top sale was held last Saturday to raise funds for Family Support Work (FSW). This Sussex-based charity which supports families in need has recently appointed Gill Sutton to be its local practitioner for Rye and the surrounding villages.
FSW supports children and families through difficult times in their lives, whether through poverty, ill-health or stress, with particular emphasis on children’s welfare.

Chris Emson, who organised the event, was delighted at the number and variety of stall-holders who had responded by taking tables. Next she is planning a fund-raising film night on October 15 in the Rye Community Centre. Details will be posted later.
