Last Friday evening, July 5, over a 100 people enjoyed the Rye Cricket Club Annual Bat & Trap Competition. 8 Teams played the traditional Kentish game, and after the Group Stages, in the gathering gloom "All Hail Bruce" emerged triumphant.
The evening raised over a £1000 to support the Rye Cricket Club Pavilion, with a big thank you to Chris Asbee behind the Bar, Mark Cook, Kevin Jury and James Jury on BBQ, and Debbie Keen on the raffle.
The evening was made extra special by a wonderful sunset.
