Strumming to the traffic

The Rye Ukulele Experiment cheered up the High Street on the opening day of the Rye Arts Festival, writes Gillian Roder,  playing outside Adams, as part of the many events that were taking place on this first day. An appreciative audience got in the way of various irritated motorists, as the strumming attracted attention, smiles and fun in spite of  the spectators having to dice with parked cars and oncoming traffic.
