The next film to be shown at the Community Centre on Conduit Street by Rye Film Club will be The Carer (2016–89 minutes) on May 5. Dorottya (Coco Koenig) is a young Hungarian actress with a burning desire – to make it on the English stage! Legendary actor, Sir Michael Gifford (Brian Cox) suffers from an incurable disease and has one desire – to be left alone! When she becomes his carer they both hope their wish will be fulfilled. He is sorry for himself and grumpy and she is stubborn and more than a match for him. Sparks fly as their relationship progresses, fuelled by quarrels and their joint love of Shakespeare, until surprisingly they find each other to be an inspiration. The film also stars Anna Chancellor, Emilia Fox and Sir Roger Moore.
