Local charity ARRCC is gearing up for its Christmas variety spectacular on Thursday December 18. Auditions have taken place and acts already confirmed are vocal ensemble Wall of Sound, the sensational strings of the Ukelele Ladies, performers from Rye Studio School and singer Aimee Carney. Rye’s town crier Rex Swain will perform The Streets of London and introduce the acts.

A wide age range of performers will be represented from teenagers to people in their 70s. New sign-ups this week include Phil Trainer and John Parsons, well known locally for their traditional Irish music. The show will take place at the newly refurbished theatre at the School Creative Centre, New Road.

Tickets are £10 per person and can be purchased from the Creative Centre or from the new ARRCC shop at Landgate. Sam Williams, ARRCC’s entertainment and theatre manager, will consider group discounts though so if there are a few of you going call Sam on 07799 771961.
