Sea Cadets on parade

With rope-making, recruiting and brewing mulled wine, the Sea Cadets demonstrated their versatility on Saturday

Rye Sea Cadets were well represented at last Saturday's events in the Town. Cadets and staff were positioned by the Landgate, demonstrating their skills at rope making and explaining some of the activities that take place at the Unit and a number of possible new recruits came forward.

In addition, the Unit Management Committee opened their mulled wine and mince pie stall in the High Street. Thanks again to the splendid help from Rae Festing for the use of her kitchen to heat the brew, the funds benefitted by over £350 during the day. The continued support of Rye people is greatly appreciated, enabling the cadets to take part in a wide range of boating activities throughout the year.
