On Friday October 6, Rye Film Club presents  – Scribe (2016 – 91 minutes) (French language with English sub-titles).

Francois Cluzet (The Untouchables, Tell No One, Little White Lies) stars as Duval, a mild mannered book-keeper who is hired by a mysterious organisation to transcribe telephone conversations in Thomas Kruithof’s atmospheric debut, which takes its cue from the 70s classics.

He is only too happy to have the work and some stability again in his life, but he soon gets sucked into a nightmare of uncertain loyalties. A fine political thriller filmed with flair as only the French would do.

The film will be shown at the community centre on Conduit Hill. Doors open at 6:30pm and the film will start at 7pm.
