The Rye Harbour Sailing Club organised a wonderful event last weekend for the young and older generation to test their sailing skills, acquire some new ones or just enjoy and relax being in a dinghy or lugger. I chose the latter as it looked more substantial even though it was not as fast as the dinghies. There was a lovely atmosphere, everyone mingling even though it kept raining on and off. There was a tasty BBQ and once off the boat a glass of wine.
I do hope that some parents will encourage their children to get more involved if they had fun, as it is a lovely sport.
