Rye Show in new hands

Rye's hospital is to focus its money-making energies on its summer fete. For 10 years its big fundraiser has been the Rye Show but trustees have decided to let another charity benefit instead

After 10 years of sponsoring and supporting the Rye Show, the Rye, Winchelsea & District Memorial Hospital trustees have decided the time is right to allow another charity to benefit from the event. This was partly because the Hospital Fete has been resurrected and was well supported last year. The hospital is therefore putting all its efforts into building its flagship event which will be held in its own grounds on June 13.

The hospital is delighted that St Michael's Hospice has taken on the Rye Show and feels sure it will be a great success with some of the existing committee as well as some new younger members running it.
