Independent family owned Jempson’s supermarket in Rye featured as a location for the 6:30pm ITV national news on Wednesday evening (December 11).
ITV News was running a series of conversation pieces around the election and chose the town’s supermarket whilst in the area of Hastings and Rye.
Reporters spoke to the store's customers and colleagues asking varying questions to get an insight into people’s views, as well as to find out what matters to people most in the run up to the general election.
Stephen Jempson said: "We were delighted to have our Rye store feature. My thanks to our customers and colleagues for the support during filming". He added: "I think we have some stars in the making – particularly among the choir!"
