My wife and I like to visit Rye but were very disappointed to find that the very convenient parking system of check-in and check-out is being changed back to prepayment or using the parking app on the phone. So we are back to worrying about how much time we want to spend in the town or when will our time run out and having to keep topping up by phone. The check-in/out system in Tunbridge Wells works fine and makes parking stress free. Why is Rye (Rother Council) going backward? Puts us off visiting Rye.
