Rye Bowls Club open their greens on April 25 and welcome all who would like to try this social and entertaining sport and perhaps take part in the many league and friendly matches during the year
Rye Bowls Club is holding an open day on Saturday April 25. Whether an experienced player or a complete novice, all are welcome to come along and try this enjoyable and social sport, or just have a cup of tea and watch.
The club is a registered member of the Mermaid League with league and friendly games being played from April until October. The year starts with the "Spring Fling" which is a fun event open to all members. There is a major tournament each year in aid of local charities and local clubs submit teams to compete in this entertaining all-day event. The "Final Fling" marks the end of the year and is again open to all members. In addition there are a number of social events through the non-playing months.
The club has six well maintained greens and is a friendly club which welcomes new members. It is located by The Salts in Fishmarket Road.
Once again the magnificent Winchelsea Christmas will light up on Saturday 13th December at 4.30 p.m. With over 30 decorated themed windows, they will stay lit every evening
