Rye Bonfire Society recently had the pleasure of donating monies to the following local community based charities and good causes: Rye Guides £500, Rye Scouts £500, Rother Responders £1,000, Rye Foodbank £1,000 and Rye & District Community Transport £1,000.
This was money raised specifically from the street collection on bonfire night 2023.
Rye Bonfire Society works tirelessly year-round to raise their own funds, these are necessary to ensure their annual bonfire event can take place and, as a community group ourselves, we feel it's important to give back to say thank you for the support shown to ourselves. We do not get any financial assistance from local or regional authorities, so every penny raised is vital.
We look forward to welcoming the whole community to this year's free spectacular bonfire night event.
