Just take a look at the picture above. What a view from Jane and Richard Orchard's house in Love Lane.
Jane writes: "From left to right you can just see the Landgate and St Mary's, obscured a bit by The George Hotel's covering, and in front is the school and an empty car park" but what she doesn't mention is the magnificent wisteria on the left of the photo. Green fingers anyone!
A different view, downhill, from the opposite direction shows The George's wrappings in Lion Street in close up, and some more gardens blossoming, but hidden, in the area behind Market Street and Lion Street.
