The house was full for the live music evening staged by the Rockitmen at the Rye Community Centre last Saturday evening, March 18, writes Kenneth Bird. Being locally based – band-leader Tim Phillips lives in Rye – they have an enthusiastic following. The theme of the event was the 1970s and 1980s and period dress was in evidence. The raffle proceeds went to support the Rye and District Sea Cadets.
