Rangers continue their good form

Despite a few injuries Beckley Rangers travelled away from home at the weekend looking to continue their good winning run as they faced Hastings United, and after four wins are now placed third in the league.

The weekend saw Beckley Rangers U18s play away against Hastings Utd U18s in the Crowborough and District Football League. Although the team carried a few injuries, Beckley went to seek revenge on a defeat earlier in the season. It was a scrappy first half with the best chance falling to Beckley - Josh Green hitting the post and then a great save from Ranger's goalie Nathan Pagden, keeping the score 0-0 at half time.

With the Beckley defence still looking very solid and everyone working hard, it was not long until Green broke the offside trap to fire home off the post making it 1-0 to Beckley. With Green and Henry Donoghue not giving their defenders time on the ball, and Lucas and Josh Zon keeping the Hastings Utd midfield quiet, Rangers saw the game out quite comfortably to win 1-0.

The Lankelma and McCartney Productions Ltd Man of the Match was shared between Donoghue and Green. That makes it four wins out of four in March for Beckley, scoring 13 goals and only conceding 3 goals, moving them up to third place in the league.

Rangers' next game is at home against top of the table Tunbridge Wells Foresters, who are unbeaten in the league at the moment!
