Camber Sands never fails to deliver, attracting thousands of visitors each year, in fact up to 25,000 per day in the peak season. It's one of the UK's favourite coastal destinations, always a firm favourite with young families but also with kite surfers and thrill seekers who descend regularly, enjoying a range of water sports often taking to the sands in windy weather when visiting numbers are mainly made up of dog walkers and joggers.
Camber's national popularity changes with the seasons but it never dies, the stunning sunsets and sunrises are a photographer's dream, the dunes have featured in many films over the years and only last month crews were filming on Camber beach for the upcoming historical drama movie, Pressure.
Rother District Council are investing in the infrastructure at Camber and as we speak, contractors are remodelling and rebuilding the existing toilet facilities and coastal operations office at car park central in Camber which will also create a new Camber Sands welcome centre and storage facilities for the RNLI.
Parking is still free at Camber's Broomhill Sands car park, a fabulous facility which is well used whatever the weather and a firm favourite with dog walkers and winter visitors. Camber attracts visitors all year round.
