Wendy Vu from Rye's Elegant Nails has raised the magnificent sum of £2,555 to help a nine year old injured in an acid attack thanks to some generous donors and her own hard work. Vu's fund raising included running in the Hastings Half Marathon, and the latest news is that the little Vietnamese girl called Nhi has had surgery on April 22 to ease her breathing problems.
Vu is now going out to Vietnam on May 16 to visit Nhi and pay the hospital bill. To help other children in the village where Nhi lives, which is very poor, she would like to take with her items such as:
- small soft toys
- sunscreen with insect repellent
- children’s vitamins
- infant or junior paracetamol (preferably in sachets)
