The Southern Gas Network team finally got busy this week, digging the trench to reveal and renew the gas supply line that currently serves the George Hotel.
The traffic diversion plan seems to be operating satisfactorily, though, speaking to the permit inspector from East Sussex County Council highways department this morning, he had experienced a few grumbles from frustrated motorists. The work will proceed according to plan and be finished before the weekend, he hopes.
