Northiam's mellow midsummer

A perfect midsummer's day for Northiam

Northiam's mellow midsummer
Festival-2018
The Starrlight Beatles

A sunny day, live music, a friendly dog show and all the fun of a village fete added up to record turn-out for Northiam Bonfire’s Midsummer Festival on Saturday June 23. With the welcome return of The Starrlite Beatles, a lazy afternoon sitting in the sunshine with a drink and a burger was very attractive. However, some of the more energetic visitors brought their dogs to take part in the excellent Fun Dog Show and terrier races. Local produce was key, with ice cream, sausages and beer all produced in Northiam. There was a lot of interest in the display by 1066 Falconry and the Beach Buddies Newfoundlands were a great attraction – especially when they took over the terrier racing track!
