The New Romney Country Fayre is a free community event and is supported by local charitable organisations, local traders, local businesses and private individuals. It is held on St Martin's Field and the adjoining Fairfield Road Recreation Ground. The day starts with a parade of mainly walking entrants through the town and continues with entertainment in 2 arenas until 5pm. Around the site there are in the region of 100 stalls with crafts, produce, games, etc all run by local charity fundraisers, individuals and other local organisations. The Fayre is a community and family-orientated event and is completely alcohol free.
