Ecotricity, a green energy company based in Gloucestershire, is appealing against the refusal for it to erect a meteorological mast at Snave on Romney Marsh. The mast is a prerequisite for submitting an application to build six wind turbines with a total capacity of 15MW (writes Kenneth Bird). At a recent meeting of Rother Environmental Group opinions were divided on support for the project with many of the view that wind farms should be offshore.
