Massive win for Casuals

Casuals go out on a high in what could be the last game for a while

Playing what will almost certainly be their last game for a few weeks Icklesham Casuals' performance last Saturday was something of a treat on Halloween as they won 8-0 away to Magham Down in their East Sussex League Division Four fixture.

In difficult wet conditions, it was Adam Sully who netted the opening two goals with Sam Norman striking just before half-time to give the Casuals a 3-0 interval lead. Both Sully and Norman went on to complete their hat-tricks in the second half before Brad Mepham got in on the goal scoring and Norman notched his fourth goal of the game shortly before the end.

Playing his first full game for the club, Mark Hopkinson was man of the match for his instrumental performance in midfield for the Casuals.

Icklesham were due to make the long journey to Chichester this Saturday to play Whyke United in the second round of the Sussex Junior Cup but with the second lockdown announced it is almost certain the match will not go ahead.
