A man fell though a plate-glass window at Phillips and Stubbs estate agents, in Market Road late at night last Saturday July 14.
A trail of blood spots was noted leading uphill and into the High Street in the direction of the George Hotel.
Police attending the scene on Sunday morning indicated that the incident was being treated as an accident, despite the force of trajectory required to break the toughened glass.
The person involved drove himself to hospital for emergency treatment of his wounds, according to Sussex Police.
