Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene of a car crash on S-bends at Camber Road, East Guldeford, near Rye shortly before 7:45pm last Saturday, July 11. A red Honda Civic car had left the road on the nearside and collided with a tree. Firefighters removed the roof of the vehicle to free the driver, a 20-year-old man from Sittingbourne, Kent. The driver and his passenger, a man also aged 20, of Langdale Rise, Maidstone, sustained minor injuries. They were both taken to the Conquest Hospital, but were later allowed home. Camber Road was closed to traffic between East Guldeford and Lydd, Kent, and diversions were set up while the incident was dealt with. The road was re-opened some 90 minutes later.
