Lorraine's rocket splashes down

Rye Scallop Week star Lorraine Bowen, given the Golden Buzzer by David Walliams on "Britain's Got Talent", who called her "Britain's answer to Beyonce", splashed out in the first semi final after Simon Cowell called her song "total rubbish" and Alesha Dixon said: "You are literally on another planet". However her spaceman song, performed surrounded by aliens, seemed to appeal to Amanda Holden who said: "It was one of the most nuts things I've ever seen". The public were clear though and, after rocketing up, Lorraine fell to Earth fourth overall in the first semi-final - and even the judges did not step in to rescue her. However she may be back to add some spice to a future Scallop Week, writes Charles Harkness.
