Rye Library is celebrating the area's LGBTQ+ creative history with a special exhibition.

Art in Romney Marsh is showcasing a series of portraits of the creatives who lived, worked, and were inspired by Rye and Romney Marsh. The exhibition is called Mind the Gap.

The portraits all show the special bond between queer creatives and their dogs. To accompany the portraits, Rye Library has a curated selection of books by and about local queer creatives such as Radclyffe Hall, Henry James and Vita Sackville-West.
