Le Tour de Rye et Romney Marsh

The Le Tour de Rye et Romney Marsh Challenge will soon be upon us.

The 13th annual cycle ride, organised by Rye & Winchelsea Rotary Club and Rye Wheelers, starts from the Rye Club, Market Road, Rye TN31 7JA, on Sunday September 29 2019. Registration will be from 8:45am, with riders leaving from 9am to 10am, raising money for local charities and good causes.

With a short ride of 10km for novices, increasing to 25, 50 and 100km, a signed route with marshalls where we think it will help, goes via Camber, Lydd and Old Romney to Hythe. A lovely country ride showcasing some of the best of Romney Marsh.
Entrance by donation on the day, £10 adults, £6 under 16’s and under 11’s free when accompanied by an adult rider.

Rotary president Roger Evans, says If you are fit, have a roadworthy cycle and a cycle helmet this is the ride for you! Following a storming weekend last year with the ride having to be cancelled for safety reasons, we are looking forward to a good turn out to help us support local charities and good causes. All riders will receive a medal on completion and light refreshments will be provided at the Rye Club.
