Flyers from Highways Department, East Sussex County Council, announce that repair works will be carried out in Rye High Street under a night-time road closure, with kerb repairs from January 20-27 and road repairs from February 17-21, 2020. The High Street will be closed to through traffic between 8pm and 6am each night from Landgate to Mermaid Street.
Traffic will be diverted via Landgate, Fishmarket Road, South Undercliff and vice versa. Cars parked in the High Street impeding the works may be towed away.
