Helping young people

Rye Town Council unanimously agreed a £1,500 grant for technical equipment for Entertainment Workshops, who work with disengaged young people who struggle in mainstream schools, writes Charles Harkness. Based in Rye Harbour Road, they have engaged with nearly 1,000 young people in recent years, winning awards and an international reputation, but finance was a struggle, the council heard.
