Signs of an imminent alien attack were seen in Rye during the last days of 2015. Two stormtroopers appeared to be patrolling the town, marching back and forth along Landgate. The stormtroopers are the elite fighters of the Galactic Empire, about which a documentary was recently screened at the Kino.
