Rother District Council (RDC) has announced nine days of free parking in their off-street car parks over the Christmas period on Thursdays December 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, and Saturdays December 5, 12, 19 and 26 to encourage and support Christmas shopping.
RDC's car parks are on Rye Salts, and in Bedford Place, Cinque Ports Street, Gibbet Marsh, Rye Leisure Centre and The Strand.
East Sussex County Council has not yet announced whether there will be any free on street parking over the Christmas period now that parking meters have arrived.
