Independent, family owned supermarket Jempson's has recently scooped an array of awards, top honours and accolades for its petrol filling station which is fuelling the businesses success.
The Peasmarsh based petrol station has just won the coveted ‘Forecourt Retailer of the Year’ award at the national Retail Industry Awards, which celebrates excellence in grocery retail and showcases the best-of-the-best independent retailers, along with the ‘Best Forecourt Team’ at the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards, which honours the hard work, innovation, creativity of forecourt retailers nationwide, as well as being the first site in the UK to be awarded a new ‘Gold Standard site safety sticker’ by the Suresite Group, following an exemplary health and safety audit, where inspectors scored it 100%.
Site manager, Jurga Vainauskiene, said: “We are proud of the hard work and achievements of the team, who will continue to make a visit to our forecourt a safe and enjoyable one”.
Stephen Jempson said “We are absolutely delighted to receive the awards and accolades and regard it as testimony to Jurga and her team’ he continued ‘These awards recognise what my colleagues have done and that their efforts are being acknowledged and recognised, it means a lot and they should be very proud’.
