Tonight, Friday June 2, Rye Film Club will be showing La La Land (2016 – 128 minutes) at the Rye Community Centre, Conduit Hill.
Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress serves lattes to movie stars in between her auditions, whilst Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a jazz musician, scrapes a living playing dingy cocktail bars. But as they start to taste success they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair and the dreams they worked so hard to achieve threaten to rip them apart. Can true love prevail?
