In last week's Rye News we ran an article entitled, Traffic lights go but... where a notice on the local bus stop in Rye stated that the roadworks in Fairlight were only scheduled to last until mid September, hence the Hams travel relief bus.
However, as confirmed by Terry Blackman, one of our readers, the road works on Battery Hill have unfortunately been extended and are not likely to be completed until October 31.
