The Bowler Crab production of Much Ado About Nothing looks like being unmissable for all Shakespeare fans

It’s amazing to think we’ve been enjoying Shakespeare for more than 400 years and he’s still the most performed playwright of all time. Much Ado About Nothing, William Shakespeare's romantic comedy, comes to Half House Farm, Three Oaks, opening on Friday June 16 and will be performed outdoors by Bowler Crab Productions for two consecutive weekends before going off on tou.

The artistic director and founder of Bowler Crab, Stephen John, said: “Much Ado About Nothing is without doubt one of Shakespeare’s finest works, with every scene packed with pranks, plots stunningly well-written humour.” Stephen said that whilst he is well versed with Shakespearean comedies, having directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Measure for Measure, The Tempest and All’s Well That Ends Well, “This particular comedy is a rollercoaster of entertainment and is shaping up to be Bowler Crab’s finest production to date.” He commented that he is absolutely delighted with the talented cast of 10 and for this, Bowler Crab’s tenth Shakespearean show, he has welcomed six new actors to the team.

The performance venue of Half House Farm is in Butchers Lane, Three Oaks, TN35 4NE and is perfect for sitting back and enjoying the show.

Audience members are welcome to bring a picnic and their own chairs, but hay bales will be provided for alternative seating together with a licensed refreshment tent.

Note: Butchers Lane is closed for works near to the railway station (open to pedestrians only), but there is full access to the venue from the A259.
