Rye concept store Ethel Loves Me, in East Street, has made it through to the finals of the Sussex area Muddy Stilettos Awards, within the Best Interiors Store Category.
The unique concept store opened last year to promote the work of artists, craftspeople and makers in the local area and to present an ever-changing roster of art, interiors inspirations, craft and gifts made by established and up-and-coming local talents, in addition to hosting exhibitions, workshops and special events.
Rye locals Jo and Jason Dorey and Matt Forbes-Dale, who are the “real Ethels” behind Ethel, are delighted to have been nominated for the award. Voting closes on Friday May 18 at 6:30pm, and Ethel Loves Me is in the final five of the Best Interiors Store/Sussex category. Finals voting starts from scratch and no nominations are carried forward, so those wishing to support this Rye initiative, shopping locally and artists and craftspeople in the area can cast a vote here.
