Dancing with the community

Wheelchairs spin and whirl in time to music when ARRCC brings afternoon dancing to the Tilling Green community centre on the last Friday of the month

Members, staff and volunteers from local Rye charity ARRCC and ARRCC elders enjoyed their first afternoon dance at the Tilling Green Community Centre last Friday July 15. Dance instructor Helen Day from Step up and Dance was on hand to start things off with some expert line dancing to get everyone in the mood! Soon people of all ages were up on the dance floor, wheelchairs spinning away to favourite songs.

Home made cake and tea were enjoyed at the break, then back to the floor for more dancing or just relaxing and singing the familiar words to those good old 'rock n roll' and big band numbers!

This new community event will be held by ARRCC at the Tilling Green Community Centre on the last Friday afternoon of every month,  2-4pm. Entry is free and there is a small charge for tea and cake. All are welcome, and some limited local transport is available. Please contact ARRCC for more information.
